Recalling My Mother

RECALLING MY MOTHER

[Intro]

[Verse 1]
Well, what to write about, today,
I ask myself, the usual way.
I see some children seek and play.
I see two mothers, if you may …

[Verse 2]
When I was little, went to school,
where I was bullied, made the fool,
my mother was at home all day.
I coped with bully, if you may …

[Choir]
My mother was so generous,
so sweet, so gentle. Humorous.
She giggled when she had the chance.
My every power she’d enhance.

[Instrumental]

[Verse 3]
Economy was not so good.
It had its cost, that’s understood,
my father’s pay alone to cash.
Though, light and love did ever flash.

[Verse 4]
Called Sigrun, she was, – victory
of pen and pencil, actually.
I loved my mother, had my ways.
And she loved me. She made my days.

[Choir]
My mother was so generous,
so sweet, so gentle. Humorous.
She giggled when she had the chance.
My every power she’d enhance.

[Verse 4]
Called Sigrun, she was, – victory
of pen and pencil, actually.
I loved my mother, had my ways.
And she loved me. She made my days.
